Who should attend?
Physicians, physicians assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, school nurses, pharmacists, health educators, medical assistants, medical and nursing students, practice managers, child care providers, and other public health and healthcare providers/professionals who coordinate, administer or discuss vaccines with patients; and those who play a role in the ordering, handling, distribution, and storage of vaccines or have a specific interest/role in vaccine management.
By attending this conference, you can expect to be able to:
a) Understand changing immunization recommendations and the rationale for those recommendations.
b) Effectively communicate vaccine safety to patients, clients, parents, etc.
c) Effectively communicate the benefit of vaccinations and the risks of not being vaccinated against vaccine preventable diseases.
d) Address patient concerns with scientifically accurate information.
e) Learn strategies for raising immunization rates.
